About the Presenter
Anari Braz Bomfim is a PhD candidate in Social Anthropology at the Museu Nacional / Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is also a member of the Pataxó people. She has been investigating the process of recovery of their language - a process started by the Pataxó people themselves, who have renames the language "Patxohã". She has ample work experience focuses in the area of ​​indigenous school education, policy for indigenous education, indigenous languages, and production of didactic material for indigenous schools. Her research focuses mainly on the following topics: recovery and revitalization of the Pataxó language, identity and linguistic politics.
